Fatima Hospital hosts ribbon cutting for new Central Registration area
On January 26, 2017, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to commemorate the renovations to the Central Registration area at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. The project, which started in May 2016 and was completed in December, includes a modern central registration area, business office and laboratory drawing station with a fully ADA-accessible entrance. The new space includes private glass booths and new rest rooms. For those who are waiting to be seen, the renovated lobby offers new seating in a more aesthetically pleasing space.
The renovations are part of a multi-million capital investment plan announced at an October 2015 press conference by Fatima’s parent company CharterCARE Health Partners. At the ribbon cutting event, members of the hospital team from departments like registration, laboratory, facilities and maintenance, environmental services, IT, and safety were recognized, along with outside contractors who contributed to the project. Pictured here at the event are (from l to r) Dr. Joseph Samartano, Chairman of Fatima Hospital Local Board, John Holiver, CharterCARE CEO, North Providence Mayor Charles Lombardi, and David Kobis, Fatima Hospital president.
