Roger Williams Medical Center, Home Health Services accredited following Joint Commission survey
Following a four day survey in June, Roger Williams Medical Center and CharterCARE Home Health Services have earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety. The accreditation award recognizes the CharterCARE Health Partner affiliates’ dedication to continuous compliance with The Joint Commission’s state-of-the-art standards. A team of Joint Commission expert surveyors evaluated Roger Williams and CharterCARE Home Health during this unannounced on-site survey for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management. The Joint Commission describes programs receiving certification as having their Gold Seal of Approval. The Joint Commission’s hospital standards address important functions relating to the care of patients and the management of hospitals. The standards are developed in consultation with health care experts, providers, measurement experts and patients.
“Joint Commission accreditation is a reflection on our caregivers, medical staff, and support team who strive to deliver the best of care every day for every patient,” said Demetra Ouellette, President of Roger Williams. “The surveyors from The Joint Commission recognized our team members for numerous best practices, which speaks well of our ongoing, everyday commitment to quality, preparation, and the delivery of excellent care.”
