CharterCARE Announces Senior Management Team
CharterCARE Health Partners, the corporate parent of Roger Williams Medical Center and St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island, today announced the appointment of its newly formed senior management team.
The CharterCARE executives named today are as follows:
- John Fogarty has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CharterCARE Health Partners. In addition to his new responsibilities, Fogarty will continue to serve as President and CEO of SJHSRI. He has been part the management team at St. Joseph since 1988.
- Kimberly O’Connell has been named Vice President, Legal Services. O'Connell has served as Vice President and General Counsel at Roger Williams since 2001. She was previously a senior associate with the firm of Edwards & Angell, L.L.P in Providence. O’Connell received her JD from the University of Buffalo School of Law.
- Susan Cerrone Abely has been named Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Cerrone Abely has been Vice President/Chief Information Officer at Roger Williams Medical Center since 2000. She was previously Chief Information Officer for East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and Vice President, Information Service and Telecommunications/Chief Information Officer for Boston University Medical Center. Cerrone Abely has a Masters of Science in Management from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
- Otis Brown has been named Vice President, External Affairs for CharterCARE. Brown will be responsible for marketing, development, and public affairs at CharterCARE and its two member hospitals. He has served in a similar role with SJHSRI since 1994.
- Darlene Souza has been named Vice President, Human Resources for CharterCARE. Souza, who holds the same title with SJHSRI, has more than 18 years of human resources experience. She has been with St. Joseph since 2005.
- Richard Gamache has been named Vice President of Extended Care for CharterCARE. Gamache will continue in his role as Vice President/Administrator of Elmhurst Extended Care, while also overseeing system-wide geriatric service coordination.
- Brandon Klar has been named Vice President, Planning and Network Development. He has been with St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island since 2004, most recently as Administrative Director of Planning & Business Development. Klar received his Masters of Health Services Administration from Xavier University.
