About Nursing at CharterCARE
Not all nursing career opportunities are created equal. But in the case of CharterCARE Health Partners, we’ve taken special care to develop opportunities for nurses who value clinical teamwork, best practices, shared decision making, job flexibility in a community setting and opportunities for professional development and advancement.
CharterCARE and its two acute care Hospitals, Roger Williams Medical Center and Fatima Hospital, are part of a national hospital network operated by Prospect Medical Systems. Prospect has twenty hospitals located in six states which offers significant job location options.
At CharterCARE, nurse-to-patient ratios are among the best of any hospital in Rhode Island. This is just part of a culture of quality and patient safety that has led to more than two dozen national recognition over the past several years.
We value and recognize superior nursing care through participation in the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses and our own Bravo awards that recognize employees who support the practice of nursing at our hospitals.
We work hard to provide our nurses with professional development opportunities. Working with Salve Regina University in Newport, we offer an 18-month RN to BSN program that includes tuition reimbursement. We provide certification programs in a variety of nurse specialty areas and allow interested nurses to serve in our Nurse Preceptor program for recent graduates.
We also provide significant career advancement opportunities for nurses by looking to promote from within wherever possible and through cross training in clinical areas for those looking to advance to supervisory or management positions.
CharterCARE offers nurses competitive wages, excellent benefits and shift flexibility. See current job openings.
