CharterCARE’s overarching goal is to ensure that the people of our communities can continue to choose acute hospital care in a community hospital...one that blends the best technology and clinical expertise with the personal care that has been the hallmark of our hospitals.

The affiliation of our hospitals through CharterCARE provides a much stronger foundation---financially, administratively, and operationally—from which we can continue to provide high-quality care to the communities we serve. This foundation includes 2,800 employed health professionals, an annual operating budget of $363 million and enjoys one-fourth of the Providence market share.
