Board certified in internal medicine, he is a graduate of Jordan University of Science and Technology. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Toledo, where he also received a Masters of Public Health. He completed a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship, serving as chief fellow, at Virginia Commonwealth University, and an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Alleghany Health Network.
