Degree & Certification

RISCT students graduate with a Master of Science degree and eligibility for CT(ASCP) certification as a Cytotechnologist

Accreditation

The Cytotechnology Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)

Program

Certificate Program: The eleven month clinical internship, which begins in September, consists of lectures and microscopic instruction daily at the Providence location. Practical experience is gained weekly on rotation at local hospitals including Our Lady of Fatima.

Additional experience may be achieved with seminars and meetings in the field and participation in professional societies.

School hours are from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. There is a week vacation in December and another week in the Spring. Ten holidays are observed per year and each student is allowed a set number of interview days.
