Community Health Needs Assessment

CharterCARE Health Partners -- the parent company of Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and Roger Williams Medical Center -- regularly undergoes a comprehensive study of unmet health needs in the communities we serve. This study  -- known as a community health needs assessment (CHNA) -- is updated every three years to ensure our strategic plans and programs are responding to changing needs and demographics in our community.

Representatives from Fatima, Roger Williams, and other RI Hospital Association members worked together to address identified needs and share best practices and ideas. While hospitals have community-specific implementation plans to address these and other areas, they will continue to meet collectively to address these issues collaboratively and analyze the impact of their activities. The CHNA Steering Committee also worked closely with the Rhode Island Department of Health to ensure statewide efforts for community health improvements were properly aligned.
