Choosing a surgeon -- and a hospital for surgery -- can be a daunting task. For people in need of either complex or minor procedures, Roger Williams is home to a number of experienced fellowship-trained surgeons and an excellent team of anesthesiology, nursing, and support staff. We recognize the importance of exceptional care before, during, and after your surgery.

The Department of Surgery at Roger Williams offers a full range of special and subspecialty services and the latest surgical technologies are used. We are home to approximately 7,300 inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures annually. Our surgical programs have received accreditation and designation from organizations like The Joint Commission and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, among others. Critical care nursing is provided in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit.
