Roger Williams Medical Center has been awarded a 4-Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), placing it among the top 25% of hospitals in the ranking. The CMS Star Rating system helps consumers compare the quality of Medicare/Medicaid services by measuring 5 categories of quality by evaluating approximately 150 different metrics addressing patient experience, clinical quality performance improvement, and how well customers are served.

CMS assessed more than 4,600 hospitals nationwide on 46 hospital quality measures. Measures are divided into five categories: safety of care, mortality, patient experience, readmission rates, and timely and effective care. Data reporting periods range from July 2019 to April 2022, depending on the measure.

In the most recent CMS ranking, Our Lady of Fatima Hospital maintains a strong 3-Star Rating with anticipation of achieving a 4-Star ranking within the next twelve months. Both hospitals are affiliates of CharterCARE Health Partners.

“Sustaining and advancing the quality of care we provide patients is the core of the CharterCARE mission”, stated Jeffrey Liebman, CEO of CharterCARE. “I am especially proud of this achievement since it reflects the performance of virtually every hospital department”.
